Vote for people who can bring development in your electoral area – Nii Afortey Botchwey urges electorates

Nii Afortey Botchwey, a member of the Ga traditional council and also a presiding member for the Krowor Municipal Assembly has admonished all electorates across the country to vote for people who can lobby for development in their area rather than mere talks.

Speaking on Plan B FM morning show NKOSUONSEM hosted by Nana Yaw Abrompah, Nii Afortey said the roles of elected assembly and unit committee members would be to organize communal labor, collate views and complaints from community members and present them to the Assemblies for redress and urged them to keep to their mandate as by the principles and dictates of the 1992 Constitution.

He further stated that, the entrenched democracy towards active participation in governance which provides an opportunity to build a just society and also get a fair representation at the various District Assemblies and who to consult in terms of communal development.

He then encouraged the general public to go out in their numbers to exercise the franchise to elect competent people to represent them at the District Assemblies.
