The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced scheduled power outages in parts of Accra East, Accra West and Tema from Monday, October 19, to Friday, October 23, 2026, to undertake maintenance works and improve power supply reliability.

According to ECG, the exercise will involve repairs and system upgrades aimed at addressing technical faults within its distribution network and preventing further disruptions.

In a notice shared on its official social media platform, X, the power distributor said most affected areas would experience outages between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., while some locations would have their electricity supply interrupted from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The maintenance exercise is expected to affect households, businesses and other institutions that rely on a stable electricity supply during normal working hours.

ECG has apologised to customers for the inconvenience and urged affected residents and businesses to take note of the announced schedules.

The exercise forms part of efforts to maintain and improve the reliability of electricity distribution across the country.

The specific dates, times and communities expected to be affected are outlined in the schedule released by ECG.
