Tribe Culture Fest CEO challenges Kofi Adams to produce evidence in $611,000 World Cup visa scandal

Tribe culture CEO denies illegal receipt of US$611,000, challenges Sports Minister

The Chief Executive Officer of Tribe Culture Fest, Nana Boateng Gyimah, has challenged the Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, to produce documentary evidence to support allegations that he or his organisation illegally received US$611,000 in connection with visa arrangements for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, October 18, Mr Gyimah categorically denied claims that Tribe Culture Fest received the money unlawfully and was refusing to refund it.

He insisted that anyone making such allegations must provide verifiable records identifying who received the money, when it was paid and how the amount was determined.

“Anyone alleging that Tribe Culture or its CEO received US$611,000 must produce documentary evidence establishing who received the money and where it went,” he said.

Mr Gyimah maintained that Tribe Culture Fest’s agreement was solely with the National Sports Authority (NSA) and the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), denying that he or the organisation received the alleged amount from private individuals in connection with the arrangements.

He challenged Mr Adams to produce any agreement, authorisation or consent establishing the alleged financial transaction, together with payment records to substantiate his claims.

The CEO further argued that the allegations risk damaging his reputation and the integrity of the organisation, calling on the minister to provide evidence or withdraw the claims and correct the public record.
