ADR Practitioner warns against dangers of lust

ADR Practitioner warns against dangers of lust
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Renowned Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Practitioner, May Bright Coffie, has cautioned the general public against the dangers of lust, emphasizing its potential to lead individuals down a destructive path.

In an interview on Plan B FM’s Nyansapɔ Fie show, hosted by Nana Asabea, Mrs. Coffie highlighted a specific concern: “Most single ladies in dire need of partners out of lust for married men choose to stay with them, thereby leading to covetousness and destroying the legally or known wives spiritually.”

Mrs. Coffie stressed that lust can trigger a chain reaction of negative emotions and behaviours, including covetousness, greed, envy, and ultimately, destruction.

She urged individuals to be mindful of their thoughts and actions, promoting self-awareness and self-control as essential tools in avoiding these pitfalls.

Imam Hussain Acquah, Headteacher and Head of the Ahmadiyya Missions, further emphasized the importance of controlling lustful desires in relationships. He noted that guilt can significantly impact relationships, as individuals may feel compelled to confess or seek forgiveness from their partner, leading to mistrust.

Imam Acquah stressed that unchecked lust can lead to a guilty consciousness, which can erode trust and damage relationships.

In addition to the destructive chain reaction of negative emotions and behaviors highlighted by Ms. Coffie, Imam Acquah’s insights underscore the importance of self-awareness and self-control in maintaining healthy relationships.
