Mahama heads to Northern Region for ‘Resetting Ghana’ Townhall engagement

President John Dramani Mahama is set to embark on a two-day working visit to the Northern Region this weekend as part of his ongoing “Resetting Ghana” nationwide engagement tour.

The visit, scheduled for Saturday, April 18 to Sunday, April 19, 2026, is aimed at strengthening direct interaction between the Presidency and citizens, while assessing development needs and progress across the region.

A key highlight of the tour will be a citizen engagement townhall meeting slated for Sunday at 2:00 pm at the University for Development Studies Auditorium. The event is expected to bring together residents, community leaders, youth groups, and stakeholders to discuss governance, development priorities, and national policy direction.

The “Resetting Ghana” initiative forms part of broader efforts by the Mahama administration to promote transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance through open dialogue with citizens.

Residents in and around Tamale and the wider Northern Region are being encouraged to participate in the townhall session and contribute to conversations shaping the country’s future.
