E/R: Food Vendor Crushed Dead, Others Injured After Car Rammed Into People

Two Dead In An Accident Near Akumadan

A food vendor is reported to have been crushed to death while about three others have sustained serious injuries after a car rammed into them at Akyem Oda lorry Station in the Eastern region.

The accident occurred Friday when a driver attempted to move an automatic passenger car with registration number AS 7487-18.

The car surged forward violently as the driver failed to apply the breaks forcing it to crash two other cars with registration number AS 651-18, GR 5873-20  before veering off to crush the victims.

The victims were rushed to Oda government Hospital and admitted but the food vendor is reported dead by the local Journalists.

Three cars were damaged during the accident.

The local Police is investigating whether or not the driver was qualified or was under the influence of alcohol.
