The Ashaiman Constituency has announced that it will no longer tolerate the long-standing mantra “monkey dey work, baboon dey chop”. This decision comes as the Constituency remains one of the top-performing areas in the Greater Accra Region in terms of vote garnering but lacking development.
Joseph Awuku, NDC Communication Officer for Ashaiman Constituency, Chairman of the Serial Callers and Texters Association, and member of the Greater Accra Regional Communication Team, made the statement during an interview on Plan B FM’s Nkɔsoɔnsɛm show with host Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi.
“The Ashaiman Constituency secured the second-highest number of votes for the NDC in the 2024 general elections, yet no appointments have been made from our constituency,” Awuku said.
“We are concerned that the Mahama-led administration may overlook our contributions and neglect our needs.”
Awuku emphasised that the Constituency is facing a significant development deficit and requires immediate intervention from the President to address these issues.
