GNFS rescues trapped mate in Techiman road crash

Firefighters from the Techiman Fire Station of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) have successfully rescued a driver’s mate who became trapped following a road traffic collision involving two heavy-duty trucks in Techiman.

The incident occurred on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in front of the Techiman Omanhene’s Palace and involved a Kia Rhino truck and a DAF XF long truck.

According to the GNFS, the rescue team responded promptly to the scene and carried out extrication operations to safely free the trapped victim from the wreckage.

The rescued mate was successfully removed from the damaged vehicle after firefighters employed specialized rescue techniques.

The circumstances leading to the collision were not immediately disclosed, while the condition of the victim remains unknown.

The Ghana National Fire Service reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property through swift emergency response operations.
