Government proposes direct transfer of 93% DACF to local level in 2026

The government has proposed allocating 93% of the District Assemblies Common

Fund (DACF) directly to the local level for the 2026 fiscal year, in a move aimed at strengthening decentralisation and grassroots development.

According to the proposed 2026 DACF distribution formula expected to be tabled in Parliament by the Minister for local Government. Chieftaincy.
