President John Dramani Mahama will undertake a working visit to the Republic of Korea from March 10 to March 14, 2026, the Presidency has announced.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency Communications Office and signed by the Minister of Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the visit is aimed at strengthening diplomatic and economic ties between Ghana and South Korea.
President Mahama is expected to depart Accra on Sunday for the four-day visit. During the trip, he will hold bilateral talks with the President of South Korea, Lee Jae Myung. He will also meet the Speaker of the Korean National Assembly, Woo Won-shik.
As part of the official engagements, President Mahama will participate in a ship-naming ceremony at the Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard in Ulsan. He is also scheduled to deliver a speech at a conference ceremony at Yonsei University.
Other activities on the President’s itinerary include an evening interaction with Ghanaians living, studying and working in South Korea, as well as a dinner meeting with chief executives and business leaders.
The visit is expected to deepen cooperation between Ghana and South Korea, particularly in areas of trade, investment and industrial development.
