Wicked CEOs caused NPP’s defeat in 2024 elections – Ekow Assafuah

Wicked CEOs caused NPP’s defeat in 2024 elections – Ekow Assafuah
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Member of Parliament of Old Tafo, Vincent Ekow Assafuah has attributed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) defeat in the 2024 elections to the attitude of the heads of some state-owned enterprises and agencies under the Ministry of Energy.

According to him, the appointees of those institutions are wicked people who do not have the party’s interest at heart.

Speaking in an engagement on Peace FM, he said: “The NPP has learnt a lot within this short time. When you come to power you give the post to those who know the work. The agencies under the Ministry of Energy, the people there are wicked people who did not help the party. They did not help the party. If you don’t help the party to get votes for you to become CEO, what is the sense in that.”

The Old Tafo MP intimated that power should be given to persons who actually put in the work to ensure the party’s victory.

“Some of the CEOs are wicked. They are the reason NPP lost woefully. It is as if the position is for them. When you need resources to help the party you have to beg,” he stressed.

He added that “We have to give positions to people who suffered.”
