2023 National Farmer’s Day Local Committee Inaugurated

The Western Regional Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for this year’s National Farmers’ day celebration to be organized in Tarkwa in the Western Region has been inaugurated.

The team would support the National Committee to plan and organize the 2023 National Farmers’ day celebration which will take place on Friday, December 1, 2023.

The Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah inaugurated the LOC at a brief ceremony in Sekondi.

It is chaired by the Regional Minister, with the Chief Director of the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) and the Tarkwa Municipal Director of Agriculture as deputies.

The members would work in the areas of Logistics, Publicity, Security and Venue, Welfare and Exhibition among others.

The 39th Farmers’ day celebration is on the theme, “Delivering Smart Solutions for Sustainable Food Security and Resilience.”

The LOC is expected to lead the successful execution of the National Farmers day celebration which sought to recognize the massive contribution of farmers and fishermen to the nation’s development.

The committee is expected to present weekly minutes on planned activities for possible review for actions.
