Supreme Court Can Overturn President’s Assent On E-Levy If..-Lawyer

Supreme Court Can Overturn President’s Assent On E-Levy If..-Lawyer
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A legal practitioner Lawyer Oweridu Donkor has asserted that the Supreme court can overturn President’s assent on the E- Levy if the minority in parliament can present solid evidence to support their claims in the Supreme Court.

He stressed that the issue is very crucial and the lead complaints, like Hon Mahama Ayariga, Harunah Idirisu and Okudjato Ablakwa will etc will not do things that will bring their names into disrepute.

He made this known when speaking on plan B Fm’s morning show Nkosuo Nsem with Ohene Addo.

The recent passage of the Electronic Levy (E-Levy) by the majority in Ghana’s parliament has also received a very swift assent from President Nana Akufo Addo has gotten many Ghanaians talking about the issue while the minority in Parliament had taken the issue to the Supreme Court for review.
