Ghanaians Call For Arrest Of #FixTheCountry Convenor For Inciting Coup

A convener of social movement, the #FixtheCountry, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, has been been picked up by the police.

He was arrested over a social media post on Facebook announcing a plot to stage a coup should the controversial Electronic Transfer Levy (E-levy) be passed.

This was contained in a statement released by the Ghana Police Service on their twitter handle today Saturday February 12, 2022

“The post contained a clear statement of intent with a possible will to execute a coup in his declaration of intent to subvert the constitution of the Republic”, according to the statement confirming the arrest mentioned.

He will be put before court come Monday, February 14, 2022.
