The Accra Regional Police Command has arrested two women in connection with the alleged assault of a 12-year-old girl at La Roman JHS School in the Greater Accra Region.

The arrests follow the circulation of video footage online showing the incident, which sparked widespread public outrage and prompted immediate police action. Authorities confirmed that the footage played a critical role in identifying and apprehending the suspects.

The two women are currently in custody as the police continue a thorough investigation. Officials have appealed to the public to provide any additional information that could assist in the ongoing probe.

Police representatives emphasized their commitment to protecting children and ensuring that all perpetrators of abuse face the full force of the law. The case has also drawn attention from child rights organizations and advocacy groups, who have condemned the assault and called for swift justice.

The Accra Regional Police Command assured the public that the investigation will be conducted diligently and that the welfare of the victim remains a priority.
