Founder and President of IMANI Africa, Mr. Franklin Cudjoe, has condemned the government’s management of taxes collected.

Mr. Franklin Cudjoe in an interview with the Media, criticized the government’s decision to retain several taxes, including the COVID-19 levy, despite strong appeals from the business sector for tax relief.

The founder of IMANI Africa expressed disappointment that the government has not acted on public demands to remove certain taxes to ease the financial burden on Ghanaians.

Reacting to this on Plan B Fm’s ‘Nkosuonsem’ show hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi on Tuesday, July 30th 2024, in an interview with a renowned Tax Analyst, Mr. Geoffrey Occansey said that, the government must act on the public demands.

Ghanaians doesn’t see the purpose of paying taxes to government.

“Pastors utilize Tite paid by their Church members for the Church’s development. Taxes collected from Ghanaians by government doesn’t serves its rightly purpose” he noted.
