Tamakloe calls for digitalized transport system to curb corruption

“United Party Name Belongs To NPP Tradition” — James Tamakloe Defends Party Heritage
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

James Tamakloe, an NPP communicator for Tema West, has called for the full digitalization of Ghana’s transport system, describing it as a critical step toward eliminating corruption in the sector. Speaking on Nkosuo Nsem, he argued that manual processes within the transport system continue to create loopholes that encourage bribery and inefficiency.

According to him, adopting digital platforms for operations such as licensing, fare collection, enforcement, and monitoring will promote transparency and accountability. He noted that when systems are automated and data-driven, opportunities for human interference are reduced, making it harder for corrupt practices to thrive.

Mr. Tamakloe emphasized that a digital transport system would not only help fight corruption but also improve service delivery and public confidence. He urged policymakers and stakeholders to prioritize technology-driven reforms as part of broader efforts to modernize the transport sector and strengthen good governance in the country.
