South Africans Accuse Referee Ndiaye Maguetta Of Bias

South Africans Accuse Referee Ndiaye Maguetta Of Bias
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

After the Black Stars of Ghana beat South Africa to qualify to the playoff of the FIFA World Cup 2022, South African football fans have accused the referee of robbing them to give Ghana the win and want the game to be replayed.

Andre Ayew’s first half goal from the penalty spot was all that Ghana needed to book their place the playoff but the South Africans believe that should not have been a penalty.

Some South African football fans are even calling on the South African Football Association to ask CAF for a replay of the game.

South Africa’s coach, Hugo Broos at the post match press conference said he did not see the penalty well as you cannot see a lot of things from the bench.

After the game, the fans went to social media to express their displeasure including former South Africa and Everton football star, Steven Pienaar.
