The Presidency has announced a major reorganisation of the National Security Council Secretariat, with several appointments and reassignments taking immediate effect.
In a statement dated Tuesday, August 11, 2026, the Presidency Communications said former Chief of Army Staff, Major (Rtd.) General William Ayamdo, has been appointed Deputy National Security Coordinator (Operations).
Former National Security Coordinator, Mr. Yaw Donkor, has also been appointed Director of Intelligence and Research at the Office of the National Security Advisor.
Other appointments include Mr. Adamu Saaka, who has been named Director of Logistics and Transport, while Ms. Faustina Effah-Boadi becomes Officer in Charge of the Human Security Department.
Additionally, DCOP (Rtd.) Peter Ndekugri has been appointed Officer in Charge of the Special Investigations Unit.
Meanwhile, ACP Alhassan Osman has been reassigned to the Ghana Police Service for further deployment.
The Presidency said the changes form part of efforts to reorganise the National Security Council Secretariat, with all the appointments and reassignments taking immediate effect.
