Photos: Ghastly Accident On Accra-Tema Motorway, 6 Persons Seriously Injured
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The cause of most accidents in this country is that some drivers do not observe the road safety regulations. Some drivers do not even have a valid driving license but they are on our roads every day killing innocent people. The Ghana Police Service and the Ministry of Roads and Highways seem not to do enough to curb these occurrences.

The images in this article show a road accident that occurs this morning, Monday 11th October 2021 on the Accra-Tema motorway. This is an accident between a Sprinter bus and two salon cars. The person who took these pictures said that at the spot no one died but 6 persons have sustained a serious injury.

He didn’t explain what brought about this accident. But some people said that most accidents on the Tema-Accra motorway are due to reckless driving and overspeeding. They argued that this is a dual road made that allows all cars to be in their lane in other to avoid accidents but some drivers engage in careless and unnecessary overtaking on this road.

Checking the images from the accidents in this article, you can see that the cars involved in the accident have really been damaged in a bad way. This is probably overspeeding. Reports indicate that the injured persons have been sent to the hospital for medical attention.
