Call Akufo-Addo To Order – Counsel For Okuapehemaa Tells C’cil Of State

Call Akufo-Addo To Order – Counsel For Okuapehemaa Tells C’cil Of State
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Counsel for Nana Afua Nketia Obuo II, Paramount Queen-mother of Okuapeman, Kwaku Ansa-Asare has asked the Council of State to call President Akufo-Addo to order vis-à-vis his utterances on Okuapeman chieftaincy dispute.

In an interview with Journalists, Kwaku Ansa-Asare stressed “I’ll address a formal complaint with the Council of State to call the President to order.”

This follows President Akufo-Addo’s remark when he paid a courtesy call on Okuapehene Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo II.

The President had indicated that the Okuapeman chieftaincy dispute will be resolved for the Okuapehene to be accepted and gazetted just as he has achieved in Yendi and Ga Traditional areas.

However, speaking to the media, the counsel for the Paramount Queenmother and a claimant of the stool Odehye Kwasi Akuffo, Lawyer Ansa-Asare on Monday, October 11, 2021, described the statement as unwarranted and unpresidential.
