The Republic of Ghana’s vice president and the Flag bearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has promised free tertiary education for persons with disabilities.

Speaking at a campaign tour in the Tema East Constituency of the Greater Accra Region of Ghana on Thursday, 5 September 2024, Dr. Bawumia criticize former president and the Flag bearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama for not helping persons with disabilities access education.

“All persons with disabilities will have free tertiary education and also when they finish, we are making sure all government recruitments a percentage is going to go to persons with disabilities so that they cover full participation of what I have” he stated.
