Obuasi: Residents Demonstrate Over High Unemployment Rate

Residents of Obuasi and other surrounding communities in the Ashanti Region are demonstrating over unemployment in the area,

They took to the streets to demonstrate in showing their objectionable quest to the president’s promise made to the youth on employment  in that area in conjunction with the numerous mining companies scattered on the rich in gold deposit Obuasi township.

They are demanding part of the abandoned concession given to the community by Anglo Gold Ashanti (AGA) For community mining.

The local authorities working for the mine are refusing to release the place to them. Something they have agreed themselves be given to the community, they are then Calling on the president to intervene immediately.
