NPP Must Commend John Mahama For Scrapping Off Fuel Allowance For Appointees – NDC’s Aban

NPP Must Commend John Mahama For Scrapping Off Fuel Allowance For Appointees – NDC’s Aban
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) communicator for Ashaiman Constituency, Samuel Aborbi, popularly known as Aban, has lauded President John Mahama’s decision to scrap fuel allowances for presidential appointees in Ghana and believes the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ought to commend Mahama for this bold move, which showcases his commitment to prudent financial management in the country.

Speaking in an interview with Obidehyeɛ Kofi Sekyi on Plan B FM’s Nkɔsoɔnsɛm show, Aban said Mahama’s decision highlights his integrity and willingness to make sacrifices for Ghana’s benefit, setting him apart from other political leaders. Aban further suggested that the funds saved could be redirected to vital sectors such as education and healthcare, benefiting professionals like teachers, nurses, and doctors across Ghana.

Aban described Mahama’s actions as commendable and applaudable, stating that only a callous government would reinstate such allowances. This development forms part of President Mahama’s efforts to reduce public expenditure and reallocate funds to priority areas, aligning with his administration’s “Resetting Ghana” agenda aimed at boosting Ghana’s economic growth and development.
