NDC enforces strict media panel placement for party communicators

NDC Set To Elect 2024 Flagbearer In November This Year

The opposition National Democratic Congress has announced a strict enforcement of centralized media panel placement for all party communicators across the country.

In a statement issued by the party’s National Secretariat and signed by communication team member Godwin Ako Gunn, the party directed all regional communication officers, communication team members, news editors and programme managers to adhere to the new arrangement beginning Monday.

According to the statement, the move forms part of efforts by the NDC to “control its own narrative” and streamline representation on radio and television platforms nationwide.

The party cautioned that any communicator who bypasses regional communication officers, panel placement teams or the national communications outfit would do so at his or her own risk.

The statement further urged party communicators to focus discussions on what it described as the party’s “exceptional performance” over the past 17 months, the ongoing reorganisation of the party, job creation and issues concerning national development.

Communicators were also advised to avoid discussions that could shift attention away from challenges confronting the governing New Patriotic Party.

The directive is expected to tighten message coordination within the party ahead of intensified political engagements in the media space.
