The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has recovered the body of an 11-year-old boy who drowned at Adenta Aviation in the Greater Accra Region.
The victim, identified as Samuel Awalime, was retrieved following a coordinated search and recovery operation led by personnel from the Adenta Fire Station.
According to the GNFS, firefighters under the leadership of DO III Obosu worked alongside other emergency response agencies for several hours before successfully recovering the boy’s body.
The remains of the deceased were subsequently handed over to the Adenta Police Division to facilitate further investigations into the incident.
The GNFS has not disclosed the circumstances that led to the drowning.
