According to reports surrounding his demise, he passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Announcing his death, Yussif Issaka Jajah, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North and Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, shared the sad news in a Facebook post on August 8, 2026.

“With a heavy heart, I regret to inform you all that I have lost my nephew, Sanni Jajah, Ghana’s Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.

“This sad event occurred this evening. Further details regarding the funeral and final arrangements will be communicated by the family in due course.

“Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

“May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” he wrote.

Alhaji Sanni Jajah was appointed Ghana’s Deputy Head of Mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on September 11, 2025, by President John Dramani Mahama.

As Deputy Head of Mission, he worked alongside Ambassador Alhaji Said Sinare to manage consular operations and provide support to Ghanaian citizens in Saudi Arabia, including Hajj pilgrims, from the embassy in Riyadh.

He was also part of the team that contributed to the successful organization and coordination of Ghana’s 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
