The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that funds for the payment of perishables supplied to Senior High Schools (SHSs) and Senior High Technical Schools between March 1 and September 4, 2026, have been transferred to the schools’ respective accounts.
The funds also include part payment of recurring items for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year for SHS 1 students.
In a letter dated September 23, 2026, and addressed to all Regional Directors, the GES directed them to notify Heads of Senior High and Senior High Technical Schools about the transfer.
The Service said the funds cover perishables for schools from March 1 to September 4, 2026, as well as part payment of recurring items for SHS 1 students for the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.
Heads of the affected schools have been reminded to submit official receipts for the funds received to the Director-General through their respective Regional Accountants.
The GES Management said it counts on the cooperation of all Regional Directors and school heads in ensuring compliance with the directive.
