Ghana’s President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has appointed new boards to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) and three other state media outlets.
The President made the new appointments in accordance with Article 168 of the Constitution and Section 2(1)(e) of the National Media Commission Act, 1993 (Act 449).
The other three state media outlets are the New Times Corporation, Ghana News Agency, and Graphic Communications Group Limited.
Below is the full list of appointees for the various media outlets:
In accordance with article 168 of the Constitution and section 2(1)(e) of the National Media Commission Act, 1993 (Act 449), the National Commission has, in consultation with H.E The President, appointed the following persons to the governing boards of public corporations managing the state-owned media.
