Finance Committee To Advise Ghana FA Ex.Co On How Disburse FIFA COVID-19 Relief Funds

The Ghana Football Association Finance Committee is to advise the Executive Council on the disbursement of the FIFA COVID-19 Relief Fund for clubs.

The local football governing body will receive a total of US$ 1m- to be paid in two tranches with the first one this month (July) and the second tranche in January 2021.

Vice President Mark Addo, who chairs the Finance Committee, and his team will devise a formula for sharing the money among clubs in the top divisions, grassroots football (Juvenile), lower-tier leagues and women’s football.

A Ghana FA statement read: ”This decision is to make sure that all stakeholders of the federation duly benefit from the fund that has been set up by FIFA to alleviate some of the hardships on the various facets of the industry in the era of the pandemic.”

The Finance Committee has one week to submit their report to the Executive Council for further action.
