Farmer Arrested For Killing 6-year-old son In Amenfi District

Police in the Wassa Amenfi District of the Western Region have arrested a farmer, Abdul Salam, for allegedly killing his six-year-old son for money rituals.

The boy was reported missing in the community, but residents were unaware that his father had already allegedly committed the crime, according to a report by metrotvonline.com.

“Police say Salam severed the child’s head and legs and hid them in a nearby bush. During interrogation, he reportedly confessed that he carried out the act in an attempt to use the body parts for money rituals”, the report stated.

It further indicated that the police in Asankragua have described the incident as “deeply disturbing.”

Meanwhile, the suspect remains in custody as investigations continue.
