Tragedy struck in Akyem Adwafo, a community in the Akyemansa District of Ghana’s Eastern Region, after a 44-year-old man, Kusi Enock, allegedly murdered his estranged wife, Ama Kwakyewaa, during a confrontation on their farm.

According to information gathered by Adom News’ Kwasi Azor, the fatal incident occurred early in the morning during what was supposed to be a routine farm visit. Kusi Enock reportedly struck the 47-year-old woman on the chest and head with a stick, leading to her death on the spot.

Sources close to the family revealed that the couple had been separated for the past three months due to persistent domestic conflicts. Kusi Enock is alleged to have previously made threats of murder-suicideand had once attempted to take his own life unsuccessfully.

Their houseboy, Osei Amponsah, who confirmed the tragic development to the media, said he suspected that the accused may have been secretly trailing the victim. Upon learning of the incident, Amponsah promptly lodged a complaint with both the local committee members and the police.

The deceased’s body has been deposited at the Adwafo Government Hospital morgue, as police launch a full-scale investigation into the case.

The shocking act has left the Akyem Adwafo community in mourning, as residents grapple with the gravity of the domestic violence incident that has now turned fatal.
