Don’t Let the World Rush You: Rev. Sam Manful’s Timely Warning

Don’t Let the World Rush You: Rev. Sam Manful’s Timely Warning
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Head Pastor of Global Ark of Grace Chapel, Rev. Sam Manful, has cautioned against allowing the world’s fast pace to rush us into making rash decisions, which can have detrimental effects on our lives.

Speaking on Plan B FM’s social and lifestyle programme, Nyansapɔ Fie, hosted by Nana Asabea, Rev. Manful said, “The world is moving at a rapid pace, and people are often celebrated for making swift decisions, but fear, jealousy, and peer pressure can lead to ill-advised choices.” He advised,

“Instead, seek God’s guidance through prayer, and you’ll find things working out well for you.”

Mary Bright Abelenma Coffie, a renowned fashion designer, Alternative Dispute Resolution practitioner, and relationship expert, also featured on the programme, emphasised the importance of caution in decision-making.
Using the example of crossing the road, where pedestrians are advised to look left, right, and left again before crossing, she highlighted the need to be cautious when making decisions, as the consequences can be dire, chaotic, and dangerous.

“In some religions, practitioners seek God’s guidance even for minor decisions, such as purchasing an item. This practice is particularly emphasised in Christianity,” she said.

As a relationship expert, she shared an example of how impulsive choices can lead individuals into marriages with unforeseen consequences, noting that seeking God’s guidance could have prevented such outcomes.

Lady Elizabeth Kesewaa Nortey, renowned Counsellor and Creative Director of Kess Millinery and Beads, added that rash decisions can have severe consequences, even for those attuned to God’s word and spirit.

She referenced the scripture “the ways of the righteous are ordered by the Lord” and noted that while God offers second chances, some individuals struggle to forgive themselves for past mistakes, highlighting the need for mindfulness in decision-making.
