Dennis Miracles Aboagye, Communications Director for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s 2028 presidential campaign, has announced his decision to contest for the position of National Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In a statement announcing his ambition, Mr. Aboagye said he was offering himself to serve the party at a time when the NPP requires a strong and determined communications strategy to reconnect with Ghanaians.

“Our message is strong. Our record is defensible. What we need now is a communications team that does not flinch or surrender,” he stated.

He stressed the need for a communications structure that confidently promotes the party’s achievements while effectively responding to criticisms from opponents.

“The opposition and intimidation will not define us. We will define ourselves,” Mr. Aboagye added.

Mr. Aboagye, who has been leading communications for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s 2028 campaign, said his vision is to build a communications team capable of strengthening the NPP’s message and helping position the party for a return to power.

Under the theme “Built to Lead. Ready to Win,” his campaign focuses on narrative development, message discipline and a more assertive communication approach as the party begins its reorganisation ahead of the next general election.

The contest for the NPP’s National Communications Director position is expected to attract significant interest as the party seeks to rebuild its structures following its defeat in the 2024 elections.
