Corruption Fight: Ghanaians Want You to Act Decisively as Promised – Aborbi to Gov’t

Corruption Fight: Ghanaians Want You to Act Decisively as Promised – Aborbi to Gov’t

A Communications Team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Kpone-Katamanso Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Samuel Aborbi, affectionately known as ‘Aban,’ has called on the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, to act decisively in fulfilling the party’s promises to Ghanaians.

Speaking during a panel discussion on Plan B FM’s Nkosuo Nsem show, hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi on March 27, 2025, Aborbi emphasized that the fight against corruption should go beyond rhetoric and be backed by concrete actions.

“Your Excellency, Ghanaians did not vote for our party because of the beauty of our party colors. They voted us into power because they trust us and believe in the promises we made,” he stated.

“You must act decisively in the fight against corruption and its related offenses,” Aborbi asserted.

Samuel Aborbi also expressed dissatisfaction with the previous administration, led by former President Akufo-Addo, over its handling of corruption issues.

“Ghanaians have voted for our government, under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, to prosecute all corrupt individuals—whether former or current appointees—without fear or favor,” he stated.
