Ghana’s undisputed greatest boxer Azumah ‘Zoom Zoom’ Nelson has advised young and upcoming boxers in Ghana to give their lives to Christ and train hard if they want to have a successful career.

He made these remarks while speaking to Tema Community 2 based radio station Plan B 104.5 FM on the ‘’Ka Wadwen’’ Sports Show.

“I will urge our young and upcoming boxers to seek God first in everything they do and also take their training very serious if they want to achieve greater things in their career”

Azumah Nelson

The three-time world boxing Champion further advised former WBO Bantamweight Champion, Isaac ‘The Royal Storm’ Dogbe ahead of his Featherweight bout with American Boxer Chris Avalos, to stay focused and be disciplined to win tonight’s fight.

Azumah Nelson competed from 1979-2008. He held the WBC Super featherweight title between 1988 and 1997. He fought 47 times with 39 wins, 6 losses and 2 draws.
