The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable James Gyakye Quayson (MP), received the Open Letters of the Ambassador-Designate of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Selestine Gervas Kakele, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Accra.

During the meeting, Hon. Quayson recalled the longstanding fraternal relations between Ghana and Tanzania, rooted in the Pan-African ideals of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and Mwalimu Julius Nyerere, the founding fathers of Ghana and Tanzania, respectively, and underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation in trade, tourism, education and cultural exchanges.
