The Office of the Minister for Education and Member of Parliament for Tamale South, Haruna Iddrisu, has dismissed as false a video circulating on social media, describing it as an AI-generated fabrication designed to mislead the public.
In a disclaimer issued by the Minister’s Office, the video was said to have been digitally manipulated to falsely portray the Minister’s recent appearance on the Government Accountability Series by attributing statements and content he never made.
The Office stressed that the video does not represent the views, statements, actions or official communications of the Minister and urged the public to disregard it entirely.
It also appealed to the public to refrain from sharing or amplifying the misleading content and instead rely only on official communications from the Ministry of Education and the Office of the Minister for authentic and verified information.
The statement further warned those behind the creation and circulation of the alleged fake video to stop immediately, adding that the appropriate authorities have been engaged and that all necessary legal steps will be taken to address the matter.
