The Ministry of the Interior has declared Wednesday, May 27, 2026, as a statutory public holiday to mark Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice.
The declaration was made in a statement signed by the Minister for the Interior, Mohammed-Mubarak Muntaka.
Eid al-Adha is one of the most significant celebrations in the Islamic calendar and is observed by Muslims across the world through prayers, sacrifice and acts of charity.
