The Ghana U-17 girls’ team, the Black Maidens, produced a scintillating display to hammer Togo U-17 girls 6-0 in their FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier, sealing progression in dominant fashion.

Ghana made a blistering start to the match, opening the scoring as early as the 7th minute when Juliana Gyekyewaa curled in a superb free kick to give the hosts the lead.

The advantage was doubled just seven minutes later, with Zeinab finishing off a brilliant team move in the 14th minute.

Ghana’s attacking rhythm continued unabated, and in the 20th minute, Sekina made it 3-0 with a calm and composed finish.

Togo struggled to contain the relentless pressure, and just before half-time, Zeinab struck again in the 43rd minute, grabbing her second of the match with a composed effort to send Ghana into the break with a 4-0 lead.

After the restart, the Black Maidens maintained control of proceedings. In the 77th minute, Priscilla Mensah rose highest to head home and extend the lead further.

Captain Seidatu added the icing on the cake deep into stoppage time, scoring in the 90+3rd minute to complete the emphatic victory.

The comprehensive win underscores Ghana’s dominance over the two legs, as the Black Maidens march confidently into the next round of the qualifiers with an 8-0 aggregate scoreline.
