Reports indicate that Cyril George Carstensen Lutterodt, popularly known as Counsellor Lutterodt, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service.
He was picked up today over allegations of inciting violence and engaging in offensive conduct that could lead to a breach of the peace. The alleged offences fall under the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) and the Public Order Act, 1994 (Act 491).
Before his arrest, Counsellor Lutterodt had claimed that the body of highlife musician Daddy Lumba had been buried at the musician’s residence in East Legon.
He reportedly called on Ga youth to go to the house with pickaxes to exhume the body instead of waiting for the police.
According to him, burying the late musician at what he described as an unapproved location on Ga land amounts to disrespect.
He also insisted that the youth should take immediate action.
