Management of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) has interdicted two medical doctors and two nurses over their alleged failure to provide emergency medical care to a hit-and-run victim.

In a news release issued on Monday, February 23, 2026, the hospital announced that the staff members have been placed on interdiction in line with established administrative procedures.

According to the statement, a committee has been constituted to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and the subsequent death of the victim.

The Board and Management of KBTH have called on all persons connected to the matter to cooperate fully with the committee to ensure a fair and transparent inquiry.

The hospital further reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and the delivery of quality healthcare services, assuring the public that further information will be communicated upon completion of the investigation.

The development has sparked public interest, with many awaiting the outcome of the committee’s findings.
