Heavy trailer overturns at Kwame Nkrumah Circle overhead – PHOTOS

Ethiopia mourns: 25 Killed, 29 injured in horrific bus crash
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

An overloaded trailer overturned and fell from the Kwame Nkrumah Circle overhead early Thursday morning, briefly blocking traffic but leaving no injuries reported.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, January 31, 2026, and was captured by Metro TV cameras at the busy interchange in Accra. The trailer, which was carrying goods, lost balance while using the overhead and toppled onto its back on the road below.

Eyewitnesses said the vehicle appeared to be heavily loaded, causing the driver to lose control as it moved along the overhead. The fallen trailer blocked part of the road beneath, disrupting traffic for motorists using the route.

Despite the severity of the incident, sources confirmed that no casualties were recorded.

By the time of filing this report, a towing vehicle had arrived at the scene and was working to remove the trailer to restore traffic flow.
