Antoine Semenyo saved his best for last, scoring an unforgettable farewell goal in the 90+5th minute as Bournemouth mounted an improbable comeback to beat Tottenham 3-2 in his final appearance before joining Manchester City.

The Ghanaian winger, who started for his 110th and most likely final performance for the Cherries, delivered a moment of pure magic when it mattered most.

With David Brooks providing the assist, Semenyo cut onto his right foot and drilled a right-footed effort into the far corner to send Vitality Stadium into raptures. The late twist was almost unbelievable, after Spurs equalized through Joao Palhinha’s spectacular bicycle kick in the 78 minute, Bournemouth seemed destined to drop more points. Instead, Semenyo intervened decisively.

The winger departs with a standing ovation from all four corners of the ground, capping an emotional departure with a stunning vindication.

It was a perfect storybook ending for a player who leaves the south coast having etched his name permanently into club history with one final stroke of brilliance.

The 26-year-old winger played 20 games, scored ten goals, and assisted three for Bournemouth this season.
