The Managing Director of Metro Mass Transit Limited, Hon. Kale Cezar Esq., has disclosed that the company will begin 24-hour bus service operations starting January 2026 as part of a major strategy to improve public transport and enhance mobility for commuters across the country.

Hon. Cezar made the announcement during an interview on Accra based Radio Gold

“Metro Mass Transit Limited will officially commence 24-hour service operations in January 2026,” he stated.

“This decision reflects our commitment to provide safe, affordable, and dependable transport services to Ghanaians at all hours, especially during late evenings and early mornings when transport options are often limited.”

He explained that the introduction of round-the-clock operations will help address transportation challenges faced by night workers, traders, and commuters who move frequently outside the regular service hours.

“We believe this initiative will ease the burden on commuters and support economic productivity by allowing people to move freely and safely at any time of the day or night,” he added.

Hon. Cezar also assured the public that Metro Mass Transit has strengthened its safety protocols, staffing plans, and logistics to ensure smooth implementation of the 24-hour service.

The initiative is expected to mark a significant step in modernizing Ghana’s public transportation system, positioning Metro Mass Transit as a reliable backbone of national mobility.
