Rev. Kusi Boadum identifies insecurity as key cause of blame-shifting behavior

Rev. Kusi Boadum identifies insecurity as key cause of blame-shifting behavior

Renowned pastor,, Rev. Kusi Boadum, has raised concerns over the rising tendency of individuals to shift blame rather than take responsibility for their actions. He attributes the trend largely to deep-seated insecurities and the fear of being perceived as inadequate.

Speaking on the matter, Rev. Boadum noted that many people struggle internally with feelings of inadequacy, which often manifest in blame-shifting.
“Insecurity plays a significant role,” he stated. “When individuals feel vulnerable or insufficient, they may quickly deflect responsibility onto others to protect their self-image.”

He further explained that the fear of being labeled a failure also contributes to the problem.
“Admitting our mistakes can be frightening, especially in environments where failure is harshly judged. To avoid that discomfort, some people find it easier to transfer blame rather than accept accountability,” he added.

Rev. Boadum emphasized the need for a societal shift towards honesty, accountability and self-reflection. Encouraging individuals to own their actions, he said, will foster healthier relationships and communities.
