NDC Communicator Welcomes Reintroduction of Anti-LGBTQ Bill

Samuel Aborbi calls for action: No blame game on economy, pushes for Anti-LGBTQ bill signing
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Klenam Wornu, an NDC communicator, has expressed satisfaction with the reintroduction of the anti-LGBTQ bill to Parliament, emphasizing the need for a law that aligns with Ghana’s cultural and traditional values.

According to him, Ghana’s customs strongly oppose LGBTQ practices, and therefore it is important to have a legal framework to protect the nation’s moral fabric. He noted that during the administration of former President Akufo-Addo, the bill was not assented to, which, in his view, opened the door for foreign influences and social behaviors that have negatively affected the country’s youth.

“The LGBTQ community has money and is using it to influence our children, especially in secondary schools. Before some of them complete school, they come back with a different orientation, claiming they know their rights,” he stated.

Mr. Wornu expressed hope that with the bill’s reintroduction, Parliament will pass it into law by next year to safeguard Ghana’s cultural identity and future generations.
