A devastating accident involving a commercial Urvan bus and a school bus has occurred at Dichemso Plaza in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region.

The Urvan bus, carrying 15 nursing students, collided with a school bus that fortunately had no students on board.

According to eyewitnesses, the impact was severe, leaving four people critically injured and battling for their lives. One victim suffered a severed leg, while three others became unconscious due to the extent of their injuries.

The victims have been rushed to the hospital, where they are currently receiving medical attention.

Solomon Nimo and Kwame Agyenim Boateng, reporters for OTEC News, interviewed residents who described the scene as horrific. The police have arrived at the scene to ensure the free flow of traffic.

Details about the vehicles involved reveal that the Urvan bus had the registration number AS-9840-10, while the school bus was registered as GS-3743-22.

The cause of the accident is yet to be determined, and authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

This incident highlights the need for increased vigilance on the roads, particularly in urban areas like Kumasi, where traffic accidents can have devastating consequences.
