ADASCO Dismisses 20 Students After Drowning Incident Involving Unauthorized River Visit

ADASCO Dismisses 20 Students After Drowning Incident Involving Unauthorized River Visit
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Authorities at Ada Senior High School (ADASCO) have dismissed 20 students for sneaking off campus to swim in a nearby river, an act that led to the tragic drowning of one student. The incident has shocked the school community and prompted swift disciplinary action.

School officials stated that the students defied clear rules by leaving the school premises without permission and failed to inform any staff members about their outing. Despite repeated warnings against such behavior, they proceeded with the unauthorized activity, resulting in fatal consequences.

The dismissal follows a recent directive from the Minister of Education, calling on school heads to enforce strict discipline and deal decisively with students who violate institutional regulations.

The body of the deceased student has since been recovered, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.

ADASCO authorities emphasized that the decision to dismiss the students is meant to reinforce discipline and promote student safety across all senior high schools. They believe the move will serve as a deterrent to others and help maintain a responsible school environment.
