“Let’s Prioritise Ourselves” – Afful Slams Government Over Development

“Let’s Prioritise Ourselves” – Afful Slams Government Over Development
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Enoch Afful, a member of the Tema West NPP Communication team and part of Kennedy Agyapong’s National Communication Team, has lambasted the government for neglecting Ghana’s development, calling for Ghanaians to prioritise themselves.

Appearing on Plan B FM’s “Ɛbaa No Sɛn” with Ohene Kinnah, and speaking on the sentiments reflecting the growing discontent among citizens who feel that their needs are being overlooked by those in power, he cited examples such as deplorable roads and skyrocketing accommodation costs, among other pressing issues, and stated, “Let’s prioritise ourselves; leaders aren’t investing in Ghana’s development.”

Meanwhile, social commentator Matthew Kitcher has cautioned that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s emergence as the NPP flagbearer does not guarantee the party’s appeal to Ghanaians.

Kitcher emphasised the party’s need to restructure and become more attractive to voters, highlighting the 50% + 1 vote threshold required to win elections. “The NPP should focus on restructuring to make itself attractive to the people,” Kitcher advised, questioning the loyalty of the over 60 MPs who have declared their support for Bawumia.
